SINULATAN ni Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte para ipabatid ang kanyang pagkabahala matapos namang idawit ng huli ang mahigit 150 opisyal ng gobyerno, kabilang na ang pitong judge, na umano’y sangkot sa drog.
Ipinadaan ang sulat kay Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II.
“In response to the President’s statement of August 7, where he named 7 judges among others as being included in the illegal drug trade, the Chief Justice today sent President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, through the Secretary of Justice, a letter articulating her concerns over the public declaration made by the President,” sabi ni Public Information Chief Theodore Te.
Idinagdag ni Te na personal na tinanggap ni Aguirre ang sulat.
Nangako naman si Te na isasapubliko ang nilalaman ng sulat kapag may basbas na kapwa mula sa Pangulo at Chief Justice.
