UMALMA si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa naging pagbatikos ni Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) founding chairman Jose Maria Sison matapos niyang bawiin ang idineklarang ceasefire.
“Ako na ang namatayan, kami pa ngayon ang kontrabida. I declared a truce, nagbabaan ‘yung mga sundalo galing bukid, tapos inambush. Kami na nga ang namatayan,” sabi ni Duterte sa isang press conference.
Ito’y matapos na tawaging “bully” ni Sison si Duterte sa kanyang naging desisyon.
Tiniyak din ni Duterte na isusulong pa rin ng gobyerno ang usapang pangkapayapaan sa komunistang grupo.
“Look, I cannot stop talking about peace. I am a President who is supposed to bring peace to his land. Whether it’s really Sison or not, whether I’d like to talk to Sison or not, it’s not important, it’s not relevant at all. The issue is, the left, not only Sison,” dagdag ni Duterte.
