HUMIHINGI na ng payong ligal ang Singaporean Embassy sa Maynila kaugnay ng pekeng post na nag-viral sa social media na sinasabing suportado ni Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien-Loong ang kandidatura ni Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte.
Sa Facebook account ng embassy, sinabi nito na siniseryoso ng embahada ang pekeng post, kung saan tinawag pa ito na “clear misrepresentation.”
“The Embassy takes a serious view of the misleading post,” sabi ng embassy sa post nito sa Facebook.
Hiniling din ng Singaporean Embassy na agad na tanggalin ang post.
“We also request the immediate removal of the post, which is a clear misrepresentation,” ayon pa sa embahada.
Unang nagbigay ng apela ang embassy sa Facebook noong Abril 22.
“The Embassy has learned of an FB post mischievously alleging that the Prime Minister of Singapore endorses a presidential candidate for the upcoming presidential election in the Philippines. This is untrue. Singapore does not endorse any candidate. The choice is for Filipinos alone to make. We wish the Philippines well in the conduct of its elections,” dagdag ng embassy.
Makikita sa pekeng post ang isang litrato ni Singaporean Prime Minister na may nakasulat na “Mayor Rodrigo Duterte is the only presidential candidate that could make Philippines like Singapore.”
Hindi ito ang unang pagkakataon na naglagay ang mga tagasuporta ni Duterte ng mga litrato ng mga lider sa mundo kaugnay ng pagsuporta nila sa kandidatura ng alkalde.
Kasama sa mga pekeng pag-eendorso ay mula kina Pope Francis at Chinese President Xi Jinping.
