Nepomuceno, Rivera itinalagang bowling coach
PANGUNGUNAHAN ng mga world bowling champion na sina Rafael “Paeng” Nepomuceno at Engelberto “Biboy” Rivera ang apat kataong coaching staff ng Philippine Bowling Congress na naglalayong muling iangat ang kalidad ng bowling sa bansa. Sinabi ni PBC president Steve Hontiveros na tinanggap mismo ng World Bowling Ambassador na si Nepomuceno ang responsibilidad bilang head coach. Makakasama niya sa coaching staff sina Johnson Cheng, Jojo Canare at si Rivera na nagkampeon sa WTBA World Tenpin Bowling Championships noong 2006. “Biboy and Jojo will be the one coaching the Youth and Grassroots Program while Paeng and Cheng will take care of the Elite team of men and women,” sabi ni Hontiveros. Si Nepomuceno ay may tatlong Guinness Book of World Records bilang four-time Bowling World Cup champion na siyang pinakamarami, youngest ever to win the Bowling World Cup sa edad na 19 at may pinakamaraming bowling tournament titles. “Our goal is to win back the gold medal in the coming Southheast Asian Games,” sabi ni Nepomuceno. —Angelito Oredo
