LACK of manners isn‘t something that exclusive to the hoi polloi.
Lea Salonga felt there are members of the affluent few who also forget their manners when they’re watching theatre musicals.
On her recent Twitter rant, the renowned singer took a swipe at the audience’s utter lack of manners while watching “Les Miserables.”
Sunud-sunod ang tweet ni Lea about the audience who conveniently forgot their manners.
“So, how does one teach a theater audience to turn off their phones, not sing along with the cast and not give loud commentary? #LotsToLearn.”
“If you’re just going to glue your eyes to your phone instead of watching that play/musical, then stay home. No one likes a rude audience.”
“Also, the theater isn’t a karaoke bar. Try not to sing along. The rest of the audience paid to hear THE CAST sing. Not you.”
“This isn’t only about respecting the cast working hard on stage, but also respecting your fellow audience members and yourself.”
Clearly, Lea was disgusted that an elite theatre audience were misbehaving.
Clearly, too, Lea was miffed to learn that audiences who can afford the best seats can show rudeness.
