RUMESBAK si dating Justice secretary Leila de Lima kay Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterter matapos ang kanyang pahayag na nabigo ang administrasyon na pigilan ang operasyon ng iligal na droga sa loob ng New Bilibid Prisons (NBP) sa Muntinlupa City.
“Rather than peddling lies and hurling baseless attacks, Mayor Duterte will be better appreciated if he can present a better proposal for improving our correctional system and sustaining the reforms,” sabi ni De Lima.
Sa nakaraang debate sa Cebu noong Linggo ng mga kumakandidato sa pagkapangulo, sinabi ni Duterte na mismong sa loob ng Bilibid niluluto ang shabu.
“It is not true that the Aquino administration did not do anything in fixing the correctional system,” dagdag ni De Lima.
Iginiit ni De Lima na ipinatupad niya ang “Oplan Galugad” nang siya ay kalihim ng DOJ.
“Given the number of times Oplan Galugad was conducted, it should be clear to everyone that there is no shabu laboratory at the NBP,” dagdag ni De Lima. “During my term as DOJ Secretary, we instituted reforms in the correctional system. I personally went to the NBP to crack down on these illegal activities.”
Nauna nang nangako si De Lima na mangangampanya siya laban kay Duterte kung itutuloy niya ang kanyang istilo laban sa krimen.
Nauna nang inimbestigahan ni De Lima ang umano’y Davao Death Squad, na sinasabing pinamumunuan ni Duterte.
