“In view of the latest bombing incident in Brussels airport, President Aquino has directed Transportation Secretary Abaya to further strengthen security measures to ensure public safety in all airports, sea ports and bus and mass transport terminals and stations,” sabi ni Presidential Communiations Operations Office head Secretary Herminio “Sonny” Coloma.
” Security measures already in place include vehicle checkpoints at entrances and X-ray screening and inspection of all persons, luggage and hand-carried items upon entry in terminal buildings,” dagdag ni Coloma.
“These measures have been implemented in the Philippines’ international airports that are observing more stringent security measures than those observed in Brussels and other international airports,” dagdag ni Coloma.
