salonga2-620x465 PUMANAW na si dating Senate president Jovito Salonga sa edad na 95. Nagsilbi si Salonga bilang ika-114 Senate president matapos maibalik ang Senado noong 1987. Tumakbo sa pagkapangulo si Salonga noong 1992. Isa siya sa mga malubhang nasugatan sa pambobomba sa Plaza Miranda matapos ang proclamation rally ng Liberal Party noong 1971. Naging chairman din si Salonga sa Presidential Commission on Good Government (PCGG) na itinalaga para mabawi ang mga ill-gotten wealth ng pamilya Marcos.
