Alejandro napiling UAAP Player of the Week

NAGAMPANAN ni Rodolfo “J-Jay” Alejandro ang kanyang role nang tinalo ng nagdedepensang kampeon National University ang De La Salle University, 81-73, sa 78th UAAP men’s basketball.

Naghatid si Alejandro ng career-high 25 puntos at 17 dito ay ginawa niya sa huling yugto.

Inangkin niya ang lahat ng puntos na ginawa ng NU sa 14-3 palitan, kasama ang tatlong triples, para kunin ng Bulldogs ang 65-58 kalamangan.

“Alam ni Jay ang role niya sa team, and he’s really doing it to the hilt. Siya ‘yung spark namin,” wika ni NU coach Eric Altamirano.

“Evertime he plays well for us, every time he contributes like that, it really makes it easier for us,” dagdag ni Altamirano.

Sa panig ni Alejandro, tiniyak niyang gagawin ang lahat para matulungan ang Bulldogs sa nais na pangalawang sunod na titulo sa collegiate league.

“Ang mindset ko lang is kung ano ang maitutulong ko sa team, gagawin ko,” pahayag ni Alejandro.

Dahil sa magandang ipinakita, si Alejandro ang ginawaran ng Accel Quantum/3XVI-UAAP Press Corps Player of the Week.

Tinalo niya sa lingguhang parangal mula sa mga mamamahayag sa national dailies at online portals sina Russel Escoto at Raymar Jose ng Far Eastern University.
