Happy naman ang King of Talk sa resulta ng pilot week ng bago niyang programa sa ABS-CBN, ang Tonight with Boy Abunda. Pumalo ng mataas na rating ang solo show ni Kuya Boy sa primetime kahit medyo late na sa gabi, huh!
“Nakakatuwa lang kasi we worked so hard on this show. Sinuportahan kami, pinanood, we’re grateful ‘di ba? Pero ‘yung tanong kasi na ‘did you expect it,’ it’s very difficult to answer because deep in my heart of course, ah, dasal mo, is your prayer an expectation? If it is, then, I expected it,” pahayag niya sa amin kahit busing-busy siya sa pagpi-prepare for his show last Thursday.
Hindi raw niya ine-expect na ganoon kataas ang rating ng Tonight With Boy Abunda, “Ang akin lamang ay hindi namin ine-expect pero napakagandang regalo. Napakagandang blessing, ‘di ba?”
Bonggacious naman kasi ang mga naglalakihang celebrity guests niya sa first week pa lang ng Tonight With Boy Abunda. Una na ang Hari ng Primetime Teleserye na si Coco Martin, sinundan ni Gary Valenciano, Claudine Barretto at ang super-nag-enjoy kaya inabot ng two nights sa TWBA na si Megastar Sharon Cuneta.
“Yes, I’m happy with my guests at syempre proud. You know the staff, gives me the best,” sambit ni Kuya Boy. Nag-enjoy naman daw siya sa lahat ng naging guests niya for the first week.
“Each one is unique. Nag-eenjoy ako sa lahat kasi it’s not about them or it’s not about me, it’s about, you know, the rapport between the two of us.”
Type namin ang pausong black long vest outfit ni Kuya Boy na pinapatong sa kanyang inner long sleeves polo shirts. Sabi ng stylist niya na kinuha ng TWBA for him, they want a different look for Kuya Boy from his previous looks sa kanyang mga talk shows at sa iba pang talk show hosts.
Naku, hindi pa kasama diyan ang super expensive branded shoes, belts and pants na tineterno ng personal stylist ni Kuya Boy na si Demi sa black long vest niya, huh!
These are the many reasons kaya naman lalong naging very refreshing panoorin ang TWBA. Super updated din sa usung-uso na social media trend ang bagong show ni Kuya Boy.

From many, many years now and I’m talking about over 20 years of doing television, hosting, uhm, people have remained kind, generous and so giving to me and to my career. So, I am forever grateful, totoo ‘yun,” diin pa niya.
