PORMAL nang inanunsiyo ni Sen. Bongbong Marcos ang pagsabak niya sa 2016 elections at tatakbo bilang pangalawang pangulo.
“I have decided to run for Vice President in the May 2016 elections.” ani Marcos, kahit wala siyang ka running mate sa pagkapangulo.
Sinabi rin ng senador na kinunsulta niya si Davo City Mayor Rodrgio Duterte at nangako naman ito na siya ay susuportahan kung tatakbo sa pagkabise-presidente.
Nangako rin si Marcos na ibibigay niya ang suporta kay Duterte kung sakaling magdesisyon itong tumakbo sa pagkapangulo.
Inamin din ni Marcos na napag-usapan din ang posibleng pagtatambalan nila ni Vice President Jejomar Binay pero hindi rin umusad dahil magkaiba ang kanilang mga plataporma at perspektibo tungkol sa pulitika.
“Consequently, I have decided to put my political fortune in the hands of the Filipino people. I humbly ask them to judge whether or not I am worthy of their trust to be Vice President on the strength of my performance as a public servant in the last 26 years: first as former Vice Governor and Governor of Ilocos Norte, then as Representative of the 2nd District of Ilocos Norte and, finally, as Senator of the country.” ani Marcos.
