Dingdong Dantes, Bistek, Isko pasok sa LP senatorial list

NGAYON pa lang ay pinag-uusapan na ang pagpasok sa senatorial lineup ng Liberal Party ang pangalan ng tatlong malalaking pangalan sa entertainment industry  — sina Dingdong Dantes, Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista at Manila Vice Mayor Isko Moreno.

Pasok din sa listahan sina Justice Secretary Leila De Lima, Metropolitan Manila Development Authority chairman Francis Tolentino at Rep. Leni Robredo.

Sila ang sinasabing nakabilang sa 19 short-listed ng administration party na pakakawalan ni Pangulong Aquino sa 2016 elections, ayon kay Caloocan Rep. Edgar Erice, miyembro ng LP.

Labindalawa lamang ang maaaring iboto sa senatorial race sa darating na halalan.

Si Dantes ay mister ng aktres na si Marian Rivera at isang commissioner-at-large ng National Youth Commission. Si Bautista at Moreno ay mga dati ring artista.

Bukod kina Dantes, Bautista, Moreno, De Lima, Tolentino at Robredo, kasama rin sa pinagpipilian ang ilang mga reelectionist at dating senador at ilang miyembro ng House of Representatives.

Kasama rin sa listahan ay ang mga reelectionist na sina Senate President Franklin Drilon, Senators Ralph Recto, Teofisto Guingona III at Sergio Osmena III, at dating senador Panfilo Lacson at Francis Pangilinan.

Nasa shortlist din sina Energy Secretary Jericho Petilla; Joel Villanueva, head ngTechnical Education and Skills Development Authority; Philippine Health Insurance Corp. Director Risa Hontiveros.
