Taas singil sa kuryente kukuwestyunin

Kukuwestyunin ni Bayan Muna Rep. Neri Colmenares sa Energy Regulatory Commission ang basehan ng dagdag singil sa kuryente na ipatutupad ng Manila Electric Company.
Ayon kay Colmenares kanilang susuriin ang basehan na ginamit ng Meralco sa pagtataas ng 27 sentimos kada kiloWatt hour.
“The ERC it appears will just take this sitting down, as it did in the past, since up till now it has yet to release the long awaited collusion report on the 2013 Malampaya turnaround,” ani Colmenares. “The similarity of the situation then and now is very apparent and we demand for more transparency and less of the greed of the power industry moguls.”
Sinabi ni Colmenares na hindi dapat automatic ang pagtaas ng singil at dapat munang tignan kung tama ang basehan nito.
Ayon sa Meralco ang dagdag singil ngayong buwan ay bunsod ng pagtaas ng generation charge.
Mas mahal kasi ang produktong petrolyo na ginagamit ng mga planta ng kuryente ngayon matapos na magsara ang Malampaya Natural Gas Facility para sa pagkukumpuni nito.
