Employer’s Remittance Report

Liza Soriano - November 01, 2014 - 03:00 AM

I’M A single proprietor of a trading business when I started the business. I have 3 employees including myself declared in my Philhealth registration. Unfotunately, after a few months, my two employees resigned and I was not fully aware that I need to declare their separation from the company since I have entrusted the remittances to my employee.
My problem is this: Recently I decided to separate myself from the company and pay my own personal PhilHealth. Will it affect my business PhilHealth registration? what will be its consequences of doing so? Please enlighten me. Thanks and God bless.

REPLY: Dear Ms. De Lara:

Greetings from PhilHealth!

This has reference to your query sent to Ms. Liza Soriano through her column Aksyon Line regarding PhilHealth Registration of your business.

Please be informed that employers are required to give notice to the Corporation of their employees’ separation within 30 calendar days from separation date thru Employer’s Remittance Report (RF-1).

In your case, kindly submit to the nearest PhilHealth Office duly accomplished RF-1 indicating therein that your employees including your self are separated from employment with remarks S and the effectivity date on Part 11. Separating yourself from the company would not affect the registration of your business. It will only be tagged as no employee until such time that you have reported a newly-hired employees.

As you have mentioned, you already paying your own personal PhilHealth or you shifted to Individually Paying Member now known as Informal Economy. We advise you to continuously pay your contributions as a member of Informal Economy popularly known as Individually Paying Program. Be noted, to avail benefits, a member should have at least a contributions of three (3) months within the immediate (6) months prior to confinement.
