Pacquiao, Guiao pabor sa amyenda ng incentives law

SINUPORTAHAN nina Sarangani Rep. Manny Pacquiao at Pampanga Rep. Yeng Guiao ang panukalang pagpapalawig ng listahan ng mga international competition kung saan may natatanggap na cash incentives ang mga nakakapag-uwi ng karangalan sa bansa.

Ikinatuwa ni Kabataan Rep. Terry Ridon ang pagsuporta ng dalawa sa kanyang panukalang amyendahan ang Sports Benefits and Incentives Act (RA 9064) at umaasa na agad itong maisasabatas.

Sina Pacquiao at Guiao ay pumirma bilang co-author ng panukala.

Sinabi ni Ridon na 13 taon na mula ng maisabatas ang RA 9064 at panahon na upang maamyendahan ito kaya inihain niya ang House Bill 4915.

Dahil sa limitasyon ng batas, sinabi ni Ridon na walang natanggap na cash incentive ang archer na si Gabriel Luis Moreno na kauna-unahang Filipino na nakakuha ng ginto sa Youth Olympic Games sa Nanjing, China noong Agosto 24.

“Since the Youth Olympic Games was only introduced in 2010, the Philippine Sports Commission sadly announced that Moreno is not entitled to any cash incentive,” ani Ridon.

Kung nag-qualify sa RA 9064, makatatanggap sana si Moreno ng P5 milyon.
