Milo Little Olympics bubuksan sa Marikina

MAHIGIT 5,000 estudyanteng atleta mula sa National Capital Region ang magpapanagpo sa Marikina Sports Complex  para sa 27th Milo Little Olympics NCR Leg na magbubukas ngayon sa Marikina City.

Isang simple pero makabuluhang opening ceremony ang gagawin sa ganap na alas-3 ng hapon na kung saan sina Milo Sports Execuvite Robbie de Vera at NCR regional organizer Robert Calo ang mangunguna sa mga sasalubong sa kasaling manlalaro na magmumula sa 800 paaralan sa rehiyon.

Ang aksyon ay magsisimula bukas sa iba’t-ibang lugar malapit sa Marikina Sports Complex at magpapatuloy sa Linggo at sa Agosto 30 at 31.

Ang mga manlalarong susungkit ng gintong medalya ay papasok sa National Finals na itinakda sa Oktubre 24-26 sa nasabi ring palaruan.

Ang mga sports na paglalabanan ay athletics, basketball, badminton, chess, football, gymnastics, lawn tennis, swimming, table tennis, taekwondo, volleyball, sepak takraw at scrabble.

“For 27 years, the Milo Little Olympics has helped us nurture ambition, and now, as we celebrate Milo’s 50th anniversary in the Philippines, we are making the Milo Little Olympics an even better platform for competitive sports,” wika ni De Vera.

Nauna nang nagdaos ng regional eliminations sa Visayas at Mindanao at ang mga nanalo rito ay nakapuwesto na sa Finals na kung saan magtatangka ang NCR na muling pangunahan ang kompetisyon sa ikatlong sunod na taon.

Kung mangyayari ito, maiuuwi ng delegasyon ang perpetual trophy na nauna nang ibinigay sa Visayas matapos hawakan ang overall title mula 2009 hanggang 2011.
