MTRCB sumalakay sa mga bus terminal, nagpapalabas ng ‘BAWAL’ na pelikula huli sa akto

Jobert Sucaldito - April 21, 2014 - 03:00 AM

KAHAPON nang tanghali kami dumating from a four-day Holy Week vacation sa Puerto Galera. We took the 8 a.m. boat from the island and reached Batangas port after an hour.

Magkasabay kaming bumiyahe ng pamilya ko led by my son Carlo Brian Sucaldito (with Douglas, Toxin, Nikka, Christian,Tudok and Nang Miling Divino Brocklehurst) and anak-anakang si Michael Pangilinan in the company of our kafatids na sina Richard Pinlac, Roel Villacorta, Dominic Rea, Boy Romero, Otik, among others.

Ang isa pa naming anak-anakan na si Prima Diva Billy naman was joined in another boat by her children Steph and Rap, Pepay, Macky and others. Naiwan sa Dreamwave Hotel na tinuluyan namin for four days sina Roel Caba of the Philippines, Ady and Jack pero bumiyahe rin sila at 10 a.m..

More than eight years din yata bago ako nakatuntong ulit sa Puerto Galera and we were just so lucky dahil tinulungan kami ni kaibigang Atty. Ferdinand Topacio na makakuha ng free rooms sa napakabonggang Dreamwave Hotel na perfect place for a short vacation.

Ang may-ari kasi nito ay ang napakabait na contractor na si Alex Cruz whose son Xavier is a very handsome singer. And wow! Napaka-pleasant ng staff ng said resort at maluluwag ang mga rooms.

Na-enjoy ko nang husto ang Lenten trip naming ito dahil kapiling ko ang mga mahal ko sa buhay. Siyempre, gabi-gabi ang rampahan with the group of Mamu Andrew de Real and Papa Danny dela Cruz ng The Library and other sing-along hosts na nagliwaliw doon.

Gosh! Ha-hahaha!

Not to mention ang isang styrofoam namang tinapa from couple-friends naming sina Yogi and Dan Dumalaog. In short, never naging problem sa amin ang food supply though there were times na hindi naman kami kumain masyado to observe some kind of fasting para naman makapagtika rin kami.

Now ay back to work na ang mga bakla. Meeting the deadlines ang lahat and here’s one for everyone to take note of from MTRCB.   The Movie and Television Review and Classification Boar conducted Monday an inspection of buses and ferries at South-West Integrated Provincial Transport Terminal (SWIPTT) and Manila North Harbour Port (MNHP).

Ang regular inspection, sa pamumuno ni MTRCB Chair Toto Villareal, with Board Members Cecilia Nubla and Patrocinia Binungcal, Registration Officer Atty. Ann Marie Nemenzo, the Board’s Monitoring and Inspection Unit (MIU), ay isinabay talaga sa pagdagsa ng mga commuters nitong nakaraang Holy Week.

The campaign was part of MTRCB’s effort to raise awareness of Memorandum Circular No. 09-2011, prescribing the guidelines of public exhibition in public utility vehicles (PUVs) and to protect commuters, especially children, on the video content being played on buses and ferries.

Personal talagang sumakay at nag-inspect si Chairman Villareal sa mga bus with the assistance from the local officials of MMDA at dito nga nila nahuli ang Erjohn at Almark Bus Lines, pati ang Baes Bus Company na nagpapalabas ng unrated films sa DVD at CD format.

Alfonso Liner was found to be playing a music video in USB format.  The erring bus operators will then be called to a hearing at the MTRCB.

The team then proceeded to Manila North Harbour Port to inspect ferries headed to various provinces.  A ferry was inspected and found compliant with respect to video content.

The team also posted public advisory “PAUNAWA” stickers and tarpaulins in the terminal and port to inform the public about the above memorandum circular and to report any relevant violation.
