MARAMING netizens ang na-touch, kabilang na ang ilang celebrities sa mensaheng ipinost ni Derek Ramsay para sa kanyang mga magulang.
Ito’y matapos ngang pag-usapan sa apat na sulok ng mundo ng showbiz ang biglaang paghihiwalay nila ng Kapuso actress na si Andrea Torres.
Hanggang ngayon ay hindi pa rin ibinabandera ng ex Kapuso couple ang tunay na dahilan ng kanilang break-up ngunit ipinagdiinan ni Derek na walang third party involved.
Nitong nakaraang araw, nag-post sa Instagram ang hunk actor ng litrato ng kanyang magulang na sina Derek Ramsay, Sr. na dating British detective inspector at Remedios “Medy” Paggao na isa namang Filipino-Spanish na mula sa Ilocos Norte at Isabela.
Nagpasalamat ang binata sa unconditional love at patuloy na tiwalang ibinibigay sa kanya ng mga magulang.
“Thank you Lord for my parents who are always there for me and love me unconditionally. Mum and Dad thank you for everything you have done for me and the family.
“Thank you for keeping me strong, thank you for believing in me and thank you for protecting me. #sticksandstonescanbreakmybonesbutwordswillneverhurtme,” ang buong mensahe ni Derek.
Marami namang nagkomento sa post ng aktor kabilang na ang mga kaibigan niyang sina Vina Morales at Michael Cinco. Halos lahat naman ng followers ni Derek sa IG ay ni-like ang post niya with matching heart emojis.
Nitong nagdaang Nov. 19, kinumpirma ni Derek na break na sila ni Andrea. Napilitan nang umamin ang binata dahil may mga nambabastos na sa dalaga at kung anu-ano nang masasakit na salita ang nababasa niya.
“Pls don’t point the finger at anyone. There is nothing wrong with Andrea. She is a great woman.
“There is no third party!!!! The breakup has happened so fast. Maybe 2 people are just not meant to be,” paliwanag ni Derek.
“Pls respect us nalang. We shared our love to all of you sana naman we can keep this to ourselves. Mahal ko si ada kaya di ako magsasalita pero if I hear lies about her I will defend her,” dugtong pa ng aktor.
Kasunod nito, si Andrea naman ang naglabas ng opisyal na pahayag, “Yes, Derek and I are no longer together. I’d rather keep the details private as I want to give the break-up the same amount of respect that I had for the relationship.
“I think you all know how much it meant to me, I hope you understand. I will always wish him and his family well,” paliwanag ng dalaga.
