P26M halaga ng smuggled na sigarilyo nakumpiska sa Port of Davao
Aabot sa mahigit P26 milyon halaga ng smuggled cigarettes ang nakumpiska ng mga tauhan ng Bureau of Customs (BOC) sa Port of Davao.
Nag-isyu ng alert order si District Collector Erastus Sandino Austria sa mga kargamento, kaya isinailalim sa 100 porsyentong physical examination ang shipment.
Batay sa pagsusuri sa container nakita ang 980 na master cases ng mga sigarilyo.
Kabilang sa mga ito ang mga brand ng More, Mighty, D&B at Marvel Cigarettes.
Naka-consign ang kargamento sa “Goldsmith Trading” at idineklarang naglalaman ng plastic cups.
Dahil dito agad nag-isyu ng warrant of seizure and detention sa mga kargamento.
