PCOO officials pinakakasuhan sa gastos

PINAKAKASUHAN ng Commission on Audit ang mga opisyal ng Presidential Communications and Operations Office na sangkot umano sa iregularidad sa paggastos ng pondo para sa Association of Southeast Asian Nations Summit kabilang ang mahal na sabon.

Ayon sa COA dapat makasuhan ang mga opisyal ng PCOO dahil sa paglabag sa Government Procurement Act.

“We recommended that management file the appropriate charges against any erring officials, as prescribed under Section 65.1 of the Revised Implementing Rules of Republic Act No. 9184, for taking action that favored a particular supplier/s,” saad ng COA.
Ang presyo umano ng handmade soap mula sa tatlong supplier na binili ng PCOO ay lagpas sa inaprubahang budget na P758,000.

Itinuloy din umano ang printing contract na nagkakahalaga ng P2.071 milyon at power bank na P2.488 milyon kahit mas mura ito sa ibang supplier.

Rumenta rin umano ng mga Information Technology equipment sa halagang P4.039 milyon kahit pa kung bibilhin ang equipment ang halaga lamang nito ay P3.074 milyon.

Sinilip din ng COA ang pagbabayad ng P7.264 milyon sa renta ng mga van.
Kinuwestyon din ng COA kung bakit hiwa-hiwalay ang ginawang pagbili ng PCOO sa mga gamit gaya ng delicacy bag, handmade soap, medical kit, dry-fit shirt, ASEAN jacket, media handbook, wifi access, powerbank at chargers, at VIP passenger van rentals kaya nawalan ng oportunidad ang gobyerno na mamura.
