‘Naging unfair nga ba kay Robin ang showbiz?
HATI ang aming opinyon sa assertion ni Robin Padilla that showbiz is unfair. A more politically correct way would probably be not “is” kundi “can be” which spells the difference.
Totoong showbiz can be unfair. Siguro, a classic example would be the many industry workers who are in between jobs pero mahuhusay naman. Nagkataon sigurong kulang sila sa kapit o koneksiyon.
Pero si Robin ang nagsasalita, himself a struggling actor for more than a decade before he reached his superstar status. Salamat sa kanyang matiyaga’t pursigidong manager, ang namayapang si Dikong Deo Fajardo, who was out to prove that he could create a superstar out of Robin. Na nangyari naman.
Kung si Robin ang concerned, after that long struggling period, showbiz has since been kind and generous to him. He was never sidelined, patuloy ang kanyang trabaho. Patuloy ang agos ng pera mula sa kanyang mga kinikita.
If showbiz to him isn’t fair, ano na lang ang mundong ito para sa marami niyang mga kasamahan na mistulang nakararanas ng dry spell sa buhay?
Dry spell. Spell dry?
