IBINALIK na ng napatalsik na si dating Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno sa Korte Suprema ang kanyang kontrobersiyal na sports utility vehicle (SUV), na P5 milyong Toyota Land Cruiser.
Kinumpirma ng tagapasalita ni Sereno na si Atty. Jojo Lacanilao ang naging aksyon ni Sereno.
“(The Land Cruiser was) returned on June 20, the day after the announcement of the ruling on June 19,” sabi ni Lacanilao.
Matatandaang naging kontrobersiyal ang SUV matapos namang sampahan si Sereno ng impeachment ng abogadong si Larry Gadon dahil sa pagiging maluho umano ng dating chief justice.
