Kasong murder isinampa vs 2 preso kaugnay ng pagkamatay ni ‘Tisoy’
SINAMPAHAN ng Quezon City Police District (QCPD) ng kasong murder ang dalawang preso, na umano’y nambugbog sa 22-anyos na si Genesis “Tisoy” Argoncillo, na naging dahilan ng pagkamatay nito.
Sa isang press conference, sinabi ni QCPD Director Chief Supt. Joselito Esquivel na kabilang sa mga kinasuhan ay ang mga miyembro ng Sputnik gang na sina Justin Mercado and Richard Bautista.
Ang dalawa, na dati nang nakulong sa kasong murder, ang itinuturong nambugbog kay Argoncillo sa loob ng Novaliches Police Station noong Hunyo 19.
Nauna nang sinabi ni Esquivel na walang nakitang mga pasa si Argoncillo nang sinuri ng isang doktor.
Ngunit batay sa death certificate ni Argoncillo, namatay siya dahil sa “multiple blunt force trauma”. May mga nakita ring mga pasa sa leeg, ulo, dibdib at upper extremities; at sinabing “homicide” ang ikinamatay nito.
Kinasuhan sina Mercado at Bautista base sa testimonya ng ibang mga preso na nagsabing nagkuntsabahan ang dalawa para bugbugin si Argoncillo dahil sa pagiging “unruly.”
“Patakbo-takbo siya,” sabi ng isa sa mga testigo.
“The incident was not noticed by the jailer as the suspects were hiding Argoncillo,” ayon pa sa mga testigo.
Nauna nang sinabi ni Esquivel na sinibak na ang limang pulis mula sa QCPD Novaliches Police Station 4, kabilang sina–police station commander Supt. Carlito Grijaldo, PO3 Dennis Saño, staff duty officer, desk officer, at chief patrol supervisor.
“There is an ongoing investigation to determine the liability of the police officials and other inmates for the death of Argoncillo, as the possibility of police torture will also be looked into, “ sabi ni Esquivel.
Noong Miyerkules sinabi ng kapatid ni Argoncillo na si Marilou na hinuli si Genesis dahil lang sa walang t-shirt na suot habang nasa kalsada, ngunit kinasuhan ng alarm and scandal noong Hunyo 15.
Itinanggi naman Esquivel na tinangka niyang pagtakpan ang pangyayari.
“I did not cover up anything. I was standing up with the report given to me, we did not change any tune,” giit ni Esquivel.
