WALANG nakikitang anomalya si Justice Sec. Menardo Guevarra sa pagkorner ng security firm ng pamilya ni Solicitor General Jose Calida ng kontrata sa DOJ.
Ang Vigilant Investigative and Security Agency (Vigilant), na pag-aari ng pamilya ni Calida, ang nagsusuplay ng mga sekyu sa DOJ.
“I examined all the records pertaining to the procurement and all of these were regular on its face,” ani Guevarra.
Giit ng kalihim, nirepaso niya ang kontrata ng DOJ sa Vigilantel sa kabila ng mga naunang pahayag niya na walang dahilan para ito muling pag-aralan.
“I talked to the people in charge of procuremental, examined the records. This is a public bidding and all we need to comply with are the pertinent regulations under the Government Procurement Reform Act,” dagdag niya.
