Fare hike isinulong ng mga bus operator

NAGHAIN  ng petisyon ang mga operator ng bus para sa taas pasahe at provisional hike habang dinidinig ito.

Sa pitong-pahinang joint petition na inihain ng  Southern Luzon Bus Operators Association, Nagkakaisang Samahan ng Nagagasiwa ng Panlalawigang Bus sa Pilipinas, at Samahang Bus Transport Operators ng Pilipinas, binanggit nila ang pagtataas ng presyo ng mga produktong petrolyo dahil sa bagong tax reform program, mas mataas na spare parts, at pagtataas ng toll fee bilang mga rason sa kanilang petisyon.

Habang hinihintay na aprubahan ang kanilang petisyon sa dagdag pasahe, nais ng mga operator ng bus na itaas ang minimum fare sa P13.30 para sa ordinary na bus, mula sa kasalukuyang P10 at P2.45 kada susunod na  kilometro.

Nais ng grupo na itaas naman ang minimum fare para sa mga air-conditioned bus sa P15.95 mula sa kasalukuyang P12 at P2.95 naman sa kasa susunod na kilometro.

 Humihiling naman ang mga provincial  bus ng P11.95 na  minimum fare mula sa kasalukuyang  P9 para sa  ordinary bus,  samantalang nais naman ng mga air-conditioned bus ang P2.15 kada kilometro na dagdag pasahe mula sa kasalukuyang P1.60.

“If only to pre-empt from an industry-wide collapse of operations, it is imperative that, the pending resolution of the main petition, a provisional increase of fare is necessary and urgent as provisional relief hereinafter prayed for,” sabi ng petisyon.
