PORMAL nang nagpalabas si Pangulong Duterte ng proklamasyon na nagdedeklara sa New People’s Army (NPA) bilang teroristang grupo.
Sa isang press briefing, sinabi ni Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque na ibinase ni Duterte ang proklamasyon sa Republic Act 10168 o Human Security Act.
“I hereby declare the CPP NPA a designated and or identified as a terrorist organization pursuant to Section 3e1 of RA 10168,” sabi ni Duterte sa pinirmahang proklamasyon.
Kasabay nito, sinabi ni Roque na mananagot ang mga indibidwal na magbibigay ng pondo sa NPA.
“Take note that the domestic statute and the UN security council prohibits the giving of funds to terrorist organizations. This will enable law enforcement agencies to run after individuals who will, in any way, provide financial support to the NPA now that it has been described as a terrorist organization,” ayon kay Roque.
