SINUSPINDE ng Department of Health (DOH) ang pamamahagi ng dengue vaccine
sa harap ng pinahuling resulta ng pag-aaral na nakakasama ito sa mga indibidwal na hindi pa tinatamaan ng dengue virus.
Sinabi ni Health Secretary Francisco Duque III na patuloy ang pagrerepaso at konsultasyon ng DOH sa mga eksperto at sa World Health Organization (WHO) kaugnay ng dengue vaccine.
“The DOH is highly committed in strengthening and intensifying its ongoing surveillance and monitoring to evaluate the program and ensure safety,” sabi ni Duque.
Ito’y matapos makuha ng DOH noong Nobyembre 29, 2017, ang pag-aaral mula sa Sanofi Pasteur kaugnay ng Dengvaxia vaccine.
Sinabi naman ni Duque na wala pa namang natatanggap ang DOH na matinding epekto ng dengue vaccine sa mga nabakunahan na.
“The DOH assures the public that it is serious in carrying out its mandate to always guard the health and well-being of its constituents. Thus, it shall ensure that vaccines are always safe and effective to optimize its health benefits,” ayon pa kay Duque.
