TV host na-bad trip sa mga millennial execs

ALTHOUGH housed within the premises of TV5, isang independent company ang Cignal. Which means, this and the network don’t co-exist.

We’re way, way past millennial age kaya hindi namin alam how these young minds work and how they translate their ideas on paper into something tangible.

Pero depressing para sa isang male TV host ang ilang beses nang pakikipag-meeting sa mga milenyal na ‘yon. Hiningan kasi siya ng materyal na posibleng gawing show, nag-present naman siya sent via email for the young execs to evaluate and perhaps consider its viability.

Puna lang ng aming source, ibang-iba raw talaga when millennials gather themselves even during casual sessions. Kung kaming mga may-edad na were much too aggressive and impassioned with our work, most of them if not all have this petiks-petiks approach.

Dumaan ang ilang araw, binalikan ng former TV host ang mga una niyang kamiting to find out if the material he earlier sent earned their approval. Sagut-sagot daw ng isa roon, “Sorry, I can’t attend to that now as have more important things to do.”

‘Yun pala, “natulog” lang pala ang ipinadala niyang material, and these millennials didn’t even bother to take a slight peek into it!

Nito lang din nalaman ng inyong lingkod na may mga seminar palang idinaraos sa maraming opisina where past millenials (mga kaedaran namin) are enjoined to attend. At ang paksa: how to deal with the millennials!

Ang buong akala namin kasi, mentras bata ay mas madaling ihubog at i-groom to become corporate leaders in the future. Naroon kasi ang nag-uumapaw na ideyalismo that propels them to achieve excellence as opposed to the old school who are believed to be complacent, if not consumed by boredom.

Baligtad pala. What a topsy-turvy world.
