JRU pasok na sa Final 4

PORMAL na naibulsa ng Jose Rizal University ang ikatlong silya sa Final Four ng NCAA Season 93 men’s basketball tournament kahapon matapos na manaig kontra Mapua, 62-58, sa Filoil Flying V Centre, San Juan.
Umangat sa 11-6 kartada ang Heavy Bombers para manatili sa ikatlong puwesto sa likod ng nangungunang Lyceum (16-0) at San Beda (15-1).
Nanguna para sa JRU si Tey Teodoro na tumira ng 19 puntos, dalawang rebounds at isang assist.
Nagdagdag naman si Jed Mendoza ng 10 punto, tatlong rebounds at tatlong assists habang si Abdul Sawat ay muntik nang makapagtala ng double-double sa nagawa niyang siyam na puntos at pitong rebounds.

Pero kahit pa pasok na semis ang JRU, hindi pa rin nakuntento si coach Vergel Meneses sa nilaro ng Heavy Bombers.

“Honestly, I’m not happy about the win. They don’t want to follow instructions, they thought we can beat them all on offense, and that’s what happened,” aniya.
Si Almel Orquina ay umiskor ng 14 puntos at tatlong rebounds para sa Mapua.
