TULUYANG dumiretso sa Finals ang hangad ng Flying V Thunder at Cignal HD Hawkeyes sa Game 2 ng 2017 PBA D-League Foundation Cup best-of-3 semifinals ngayon sa Ynares Sports Arena sa Pasig City.

Tatangkain ng Flying V na makapasok sa unang Finals appearance kontra Centro Escolar University Scorpions sa kanilang alas-5 ng hapon na laro.

Makabalik muli sa Finals ang target naman ng Cignal HD sa salpukan nila ng Marinerong Pilipino Skippers sa unang laro alas-3 ng hapon.

Nasuong sa matinding labanan ang mga bataan ni Flying V coach Eric Altamirano kontra CEU noong Huwebes bago naitakas ang 65-61 pagwawagi sa Game 1 ng kanilang semis matchup.

“I think that’s why it’s called the playoffs. Tumaas talaga ‘yung level ng CEU,” sabi ni Altamirano na pagtutuunan ang magiging ang depensa ng Thunder kay Scorpions center Rod Ebondo.

“We need to do a better job controlling the rebounds and blocking out their bigs. We just have to continue doing that. We’re gonna need that especially in the second game and we hope na matapatan namin ‘yung level nila,” sabi pa ni Altamirano na muling sasandalan sina Jeron Teng, Eric Salamat at Gab Banal.

Patuloy na sasandigan ni Cignal coach Boyet Fernandez sina Raymar Jose, Jason Perkins at Pamboy Raymundo para makarating sa ikalawang sunod na championship series.

Aaasahan naman ni Marinerong Pilipino coach Koy Banal ang kontribusyon nina Robbie Herndon, John Lopez at Mark Isip para makabangon ang Spikers buhat sa 86-67 pagkatalo sa kamay ng Hawkeyes sa Game 1 noong Huwebes.
