Paolo nanikip ang dibdib: Oh my God, ang gwapo ni John Lloyd!

“OH, my God! Ang gwapo ni John Lloyd Cruz!” Ito ang unang naging dialogue ni Paolo Ballesteros nang manalo siyang Best Actor sa katatapos lang na 40th Gawad Urian Awards na ginanap sa Studio 10 ng ABS-CBN at ipina-labas nang live sa Cinema One.
Si Paolo ang napili ng mga Manunuri ng Pelikulang Pilipino bilang pinakamahusay na aktor ngayong taon para sa pelikulang “Die Beautiful”. Si Lloydie ang nag-announce ng Best Actor winner.
Bago magbigay ng thank you speech, nilapitan muna ni Paolo si John Lloyd at niyakap, hinalikan naman siya ng Kapamilya actor.
“Naninikip ang dibdib ko. Masikip yata ang bra. Sa Gawad Urian, salamat sa muling pagkilala. Sa buong Team ‘Die Beautiful’. Sa manager ko. Sa mga Dabarkads ko sa Eat Bulaga, maraming salamat sa pagsuporta. Sa family ko, thank you for always being there,” ani Paolo.
Ang indie actress namang si Hasmine Kilip ang nagwaging Best Actress para sa “Pamilya Ordinaryo” habang itinanghal namang Best Supporting Actor ang BFF ni Paolo sa “Die Beautiful” na si Christian Bables bilang si Barbs.

Ibinigay naman kay Vilma Santos ang 2017 Natatanging Gawad Urian (Lifetime Achievement Award). Ito na ang ika-12 tropeo ng Star For All Seasons mula sa mga Manunuri ng Pelikulang Pilipino.
Nagsilbing hosts ng gabi ng parangal sina Butch Francisco, Jodi Sta. Maria at Billy Crawford.
