HOW funny that with ABS-CBN’s formal announcement that Angel Locsin will no longer play Darna ay sari-saring names ang lumutang sa social media para ipalit sa aktres.

What’s nakakatawa is pati ang namesung ni Marian Something ay lumabas na rin sa Twitter as bagay na bagay maging Darna.

There were some opposition, though, as many believed she is no longer fit for the role dahil may asawa’t anak na siya. But for a blogger who’s a minion of Marianita, wala namang masama rito.

“‘Di na puwedeng Darna si Marian kasi may asawa at anak na?’ FYI, Gal Gadot (WonderWoman) is married & just had her 2nd baby. #PinoyCulture,” tweeted the minion.

“Kayang kaya ni Yan but knowing her, she’d want a young star to experience the glory of playing Darna,” dagdag pa ng blogger na parang diyosang sinasamba si Marianita.

Well, this blogger conveniently forgot na this is not Hollywood at hindi nagwo-work ang ganyang theory.

There was this one ilusyonada who felt that bagay din kay Maine Mendoza ang iconic role. To these two fans, dream on. Kapamilya has the right for the “Darna” story and it is outright idiocy to even think that they will give it to someone who is a Kapuso. No, it won’t work that way.

While some netizens believe na si Pia Wurtzbach o si Jessy Mendiola ang bagay na Darna, we feel that Liza Soberano is perfect for Darna. No one else can replace Angel except her!!!

Still on Darna, the much-coveted iconic role, nagkaroon si DJ Chacha ng poll sa kanyang Twitter account kung sino ang dapat pumalit kay Angel bilang Darna.

“Di na keri ni Angel Locsin maging si Darna. Ang tanong, sinong karapat-dapat pumalit sa kanya? These girls are my top favorites!” say pa ng deejay.

Nanguna si Nadine Lustre with 46%, second si Kathryn Bernardo with 24% habang pangatlo naman si Liza Soberano who got 20%. Pang-apat ang star ng Wildflower na si Maja Salvador who also got 20%.

With this, mukhang nagkailusyon ang fans ni Nadine Lustre kaya naman nag-ingay sila sa Twitter. One JaDine fan said, “I believe it’s meant for her. I’m having goosebumps atm. Napagawa tuloy ako ng twitter account. #DarNadine it is.”
