Angelito Oredo - December 26, 2016 - 11:00 PM

“We are looking at every national sports association to deliver at least one gold medal for the country,” sabi ni PSC Chairman William ‘Butch’ Ramirez.

“We will be looking at their competitiveness, or if they still deserve a seat, has been an active athlete and if their national sports association can justify their inclusion to the national team,” sabi naman ni Task Force member Raymond Lee Reyes.

“All Rio Summer Games qualifiers are already seeded to the SEA Games, that is if they still want to compete or decide to focus on a higher international event,” sabi pa ni Reyes.

Ang iba pang criteria ay: young and high potential athlete with define track record, measurable qualifying level at team events for review on case to case basis.

“We will talk to the NSAs on justification if ‘yung atleta ay dapat ba siyang ipadala.

Carlo Abarquez at Ronnel Abrenica, senior executive assistant ni Ramirez, at Philippine Institute of Sports national training director Marc Velasco habang sa POC ay sina Tomas Carrasco, Jr. (Triathlon Association of the Philippines), David Carter (Philippine Judo Federation), Robert Mananquil (Billiards Sports Confederation of the Philippines), Joni Go (Philippine Canoe-Kayak Federation) at Reyes (Philippine Karatedo Federation).
