Pichay nagsampa ng reklamo vs Barbers sa ethics panel

PORMAL nang nagsampa si Surigao del Sur Rep. Prospero Pichay ng reklamo laban kay Surigao del Norte Rep. Robert “Ace” Barbers sa House committee on ethics matapos namang muntik nang magsuntukan ang dalawa sa pagdinig ng House committee on charter change.

Sa kanyang reklamo, inakusahan ni Pichay si Barbers ng paglabag sa section 138, rule XIX ng House Rules on code of conduct.
“Barbers’ acts constitute a disorderly behavior and therefore can be considered a dishonorable act not only against me but the entire institution which is the House of Representatives,” sabi ni Pichay.
Sinabi naman ni Barbers na iginagalang niya ang karapatan ni Pichay na maghain ng reklamo laban sa kanya.
“Expected naman ‘yan and that’s his right as a member. I am also filing an ethics complaint and [a] more meaty complaint soon,” sabi ni Barbers.
Idinagdag ni Barbers na dapat na managot din si Pichay dahil sa disorderly behavior at pambu-bully sa kapwa mga mambabatas.

“What is disorderly is dominating the proceedings and bullying the poor members by not allowing them to speak, considering that he is not a member nor a principal author of a resolution,” dagdag ni Barbers.
