NAGPALABAS ang Department of Justice (DOJ) ng immigration lookout bulletin order (ILBO) laban kay Sen. Leila de Lima at limang iba pa na umano’y sangkot sa iligal na droga sa loob ng New Bilibid Prison (NBP).
Bukod kay de Lima, kabilang din sa sakop ng ILBO ay sina Justice Undersecretary Francisco Baraan, dating Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) chief Franklin Jesus Bucayu, dating driver ni de Lima na si Ronnie Dayan, dating Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission head Reginald Villasanta at dating aide ni de Lima na si Joenel Sanchez.
“Considering the gravity of the possible commission of any offense, there is a strong possibility that they may attempt to place themselves beyond the reach of the legal process of the Department by leaving the country,” sabi ni Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre sa ipinalabas na memorandum kay Immigration Commissioner Jaime Morente.
Inatasan ni Aguirre si Morente na tiyakin na hindi makalalabas ng bansa sina de Lima.
“We thus deem the issuance of an ILBO against the subject persons prudent in order to at least monitor the itineraries of their flight, travel and/or whereabouts,” dagdag ni Aguirre.
