Tinawag ni Justice Secretary Leila de Lima na “kangaroo court” ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang Kamara na nakatakda siyang imbestigahan dahil sa pagkakasangkot sa droga.
Nanindigan din si de Lima na wala siyang planong dumalo sa gagawing pagdinig ng Kamara hinggil sa umano’y talamak na droga sa ila-lim ng kanyang pamumuno bilang kalihim ng Department of Justice (DOJ).
“The House conducting this inquiry to try me before false witnesses is not democracy. The House conducting this inquiry is Duterte’s kangaroo court conducting the Salem witch trials and burning me at the stake,” dagdag niya.
