14th month pay para sa mga pribadong empleyado isinulong
ISINULONG sa Senado ang panukalang batas na naglalayong bigyan ng 14th month pay ang lahat ng mga empleyado sa pribadong sektor.
Inihain ni Senate Majority Leader Vicente “Tito” Sotto III ang Senate Bill No. 2 na naglalayong pagkalooban ang lahat ng mga manggagawa ng 14 month pay, bukod pasa 13th month pay na natatanggap nila sa kasalukuyan.
“The 13th month pay shall be paid not later than June 14th and the 14th month pay shall be paid not later than December 24th of every year provided however that the frequency of payment of this monetary benefit may be the subject of agreement between employer and employee or any recognized/collective bargaining agent of employees,” sabi ng panakulang batas.
Sinabi pa ni Sotto sa kanyang panukalang batas na hindi dapat bababa ang matatanggap na 14th month pay sa 1/12 ng kabuuang tinatanggap na sweldo ng isang empleyado kada taon
“Wages have invisibly decreased due to the rise in prices of basic commodities. Improved business – earnings have not cascaded on its own,” sabi ni Sotto. Inquirer.net
