Centenarians Act pinirmahan ni PNoy; 75% VAT exemption para sa mga centenarian hindi isinama sa mga probisyon
PINIRMAHAN ni Pangulong Aquino ang apat na panukala bilang ganap na batas, kabilang na ang Republic Act 10868 o Centenarians Act of 2016, bagamat hindi kabilang ang probisyon na nagbibigay ng 75 porsiyentong VAT exemption sa mga edad na 100 anyos pataas.
Kinumpirma ni Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) head Secretary Herminio “Sonny” Coloma ang pagsasabatas ng apat na panukala.
“Centenarians Act as enacted does not carry the provision about 75% VAT exemption which was the objectionable feature of the enrolled bill when it was first submitted to the President and vetoed in the 15th Congress,” sabi ni Coloma.
Sa ilalim ng Centenarians Act, tatanggap ng P100,000 ang mga may edad na 100 anyos.
Idinagdag ni Coloma na bukod sa Centenarians Act, kabilang sa mga bagong batas ang RA 10865 o Mayor Hilarion A. Ramiro, Sr. Medical Center Act; RA 10866: Batanes Responsible Tourism Act; at RA 10867 o NBI Reorganization and Modernization Act.
