Dapat umanong sibakin na ang mga opisyal ng Department of Transportation and Communication at Ninoy Aquino International Airport matapos na makansela ang may 100 biyahe ng eruplano dahil sa brownout.
Sinabi ni Valenzuela Rep. Sherwin Gatchalian na hindi nakakatawa ang pangyayari na nagpapakita na natutulog sa pansitan ang mga opisyal na ito.
“This is no longer a laughing matter. A five-hour brownout hitting NAIA and resulting to 66 cancelled flights and 31 delayed flights is proof that the DOTC secretary and NAIA general manager have been sleeping on their jobs and they should be sacked immediately,” ani Gatchalian.
Naganap ang brownout noong Sabado ng 12:30 ng umaga sa NAIA Terminal 3. Naibalik ang kuryente alas-5 ng umaga.
Mayroon umanong maintenance operation sa lugar ng magkaproblema ang mainline ng Meralco.
“The DOTC and NAIA management have a lot of explaining to do why there was no back-up power source like a generator set for Terminal 3 which could have prevented the delay in 31 flights and 66 cancelled flights. This is already reflective of the kind of leadership in DOTC and NAIA and sorry to say, but they have to go,” dagdag pa ni Gatchalian.
