“Issuing insults and even death threats against a student who only dared to ask the right questions cannot in any way bolster the candidacy of any presidential aspirant. We enjoin our fellow Filipinos, especially the youth, to raise the level of discourse, and not only view this incident as a test of propriety and civility,” ani Elago.
“At a time when education spending remains vastly minuscule when compared to the appropriation for pork largesse, every student has the right to question any aspiring candidate’s platform and priorities when it comes to government budgeting,” ani Elago sa isang statement.
