Unang dengue vaccine sa mundo mabibili na sa merkado
INILUNSAD ng mga otoridad ang unang dengue vaccine sa Maynila.
Sa isang press conference sa Parañaque City, sinabi ni Dr. Rose Delos Reyes, presidente ng Philippine Society of Microbiology and Infectious Diseases na mabibili na ang Dengvaxia sa mga pasyenteng may pribadong doktor.
Idinagdag ni Dr. Rose Capeding, head ng Department of Microbiology Research Institute for Tropical Medicine na para sa edad mula 9-anyos hanggang 45-anyos ang vaccine.
“It is effective against the four strains of dengue,” sabi nina Delos Reyes at Capeding.
“Very reasonable” naman din anya ang presyo ng vaccine, ayon naman kay Dr. Sally Gatchalian, presidente ng Pediatric Infectious Disease Society of the Philippines nang tanungin kung magkano ang halaga ng isang vaccine.
Ginawa ang vaccine ng Sanofi at ito ay ipinapamahagi ng Zuellig Pharma.
