Pamasahe sa Central Visayas ibinaba ng 50 sentimos

Ibinaba ng Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board ang pamasahe sa pamapasaherong jeepney sa Central Visayas ng 50 sentimos.
Mula sa P7 ang minimum sa Region 7 ay P6.50, ayon sa Order na ipinalabas ng LTFRB. Saklaw ng minimum fare ang unang apat na kilometro ng biyahe.
Ang pamasahe naman ng senior citizens, persons with disabilities at estudyante ay ibinaba sa P5 mula sa P5.50.
Binubuo ang Region 7 ng Cebu, Bohol, Negros Oriental at Siquijor.
Ang patuloy na pagbaba ng presyo ng produktong petrolyo ang dahilan ng pagbababa ng pamasahe.
“Sa aming masusing pag-aaral ng patuloy na paggalaw ng presyo ng krudo as pandaigdigang merkadao, at sa rekomendasyon ng NEDA Board, nagdesisyon ang Board na magpatupad ng bawas-pasahe sa Central Visayas,” ani LTFRB chairman Atty. Winston Ginez.
Noong Enero 2015, naghain si Augustus Pe Jr., isang residente ng Cebu, ng petisyon sa LTFRB upang ibaba ang pamasahe.
