Duterte itinalaga bilang bagong PDP-Laban chair
ITINALAGA si Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte bilang bagong chair ng Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Laban ng Bayan (PDP-Laban), inihayag ng partido ngayong araw.
Pinalitan ni Duterte si Martin Diño bilang standard-bearer ng partido noong Nobyembre.
Si Duterte ang pumalit kay South Cotabato Ismael Sueño bilang chair ng PDP-Laban.
Sa isang pahayag, sinabi ni PDP-Laban president at Sen Aquilino Pimentel Jr. na makakatulong si Duterte para mabigyan ng inspirasyon at enerhiya ang mga kapartido nila.
“Mayor Duterte’s leadership will certainly inspire and energize our party ranks toward realizing an electoral victory this coming May polls,” sabi ni Pimentel.
“We have complete faith in him. Together with his vision, grit, and political will, we will win a better future for our people,” dagdag ni Pimentel.
Nagdiwang ang PDP-Laban ng ika-34 na anibersaryo noong Sabado.
Base sa huling survey ng Pulse Asia, statistically tie sina Duterte, Vice President Jejomar Binay at dating Interior secretary Mar Roxas II.
