JOSE MANALO AT EUGENE DOMINGO

I’m sorry, but I mind, with all due respect. No, this is not about Celebrity Bluff naman kasi, so yun na lang muna.”

“I don’t know. We just announce season break. So if it’s just a season break, it’s just a break. I don’t think they will let go of the concept kasi nominated here and abroad pero one thing is for sure pag bumalik ang Celebrity Bluff, it’s much improved, more exciting higher prize at kasama pa rin ang mga bluffers diyan,” tugon ni Eugene.

Samantala, proud na proud si Uge sa bago niyang programa sa GMA, ito ngang Dear Uge, “The first time they offered it to me, I got really interested sa idea and I will be able to connect with my viewers and I will be able to play a part also sa dramatization. It’s a very familiar format but this time na-tweak namin in such a way na pwede itong maging love story at maging comedy. We have new episodes every Sunday at may mga pagpapayong magaganap.”

Hirit pa ng komedyana, “And yes, it’s an original Filipino kind of anthology na may comedy tapos merong love story na ipapadala ng mga letter senders online. Some of the letters galing sa totoong tao, yung iba inspired by real stories.”

“I believe it’s pioneering, this type of TV show. This time mas light ang topic and most definitely, funny side ng love ang ipapakita, so I think eto talaga yung pinakamasarap panoorin lalo na pag weekends kasi nagpapahinga ang mga tao. Perfect after Sunday Pinasaya, tuloy tuloy yung katatawanan sa GMA,” chika pa ng komedyana.
In Dear Uge, the stories, characters and plot twists will be entertaining. Even Eugene’s hosting and narration will be comical and have an identity of its own. Gagampanan ni Uge ang role ni Urbana Genoveva Esperanza, isang “variety store” owner who hosts a web show called Dear Uge kung saan makakasama niya ang kanyang sidekick na si Divine Grace Aucina, isang kilalang theater at indie actress.

“Habang may binabasa akong sulat, lumalabas din ako sa kwento, taking up different roles every week. Ito rin yung unang unang nagustuhan ko sa concept, meron din akong iba’t ibang characters every episode, and I’ll be able to act with different actors na gustong-gusto ko, and also different directors in very light, nakakaaliw na episodes. Kaya I’m very, very excited,” dagdag pa ni Uge.

Magsisimula na ang Dear Uge sa mismong Valentine’s day, Feb. 14 after Sunday Pinasaya sa GMA 7.

Bukod sa Dear Uge, excited na rin si Eugene sa pagbabalik niya sa big screen, “I am doing one, two films this year. I am doing a film again with Chris Martinez and Marlon Rivera, I think it is going to be the part two of ‘Ang Babae Sa Septic Tank’ but I can’t reveal the title yet.”
