Aaprubahan ng Kamara de Representantes sa ikalawang pagbasa ang anukalang P3.002 trilyong budget para sa susunod na taon.
Ayon kay House majority leader at Mandaluyong City Rep. Neptali Gonzales II sigurado nila na maipapasa ito “as sure as the sun will set on Friday”.
Kung maglalabas ng sertipikasyon ang Malacanang, sinabi ni House committee on appropriations chairman at Davao Rep. Isidro Ungab na maaari na rin nila itong aprubahan sa ikatlong pagbasa sa Biyernes.
“As of now, we are still on track, we hope to finish the budget as scheduled on Friday, October 9. Perhaps, we can proceed with the third reading if a certification that the bill is urgent is issued by the Malacanang,” ani Ungab.
Noong nakaraang linggo sinumulang talakayin sa plenaryo ang budget. Nagsisimula ang sesyon ng 10 ng umaga.
Nais ng Kamara na maaprubahan ito bago ang paghahain ng certificate of candidacy ng mga kakandidato sa 2016 elections sa susunod na linggo.
Pinakamalaki ang makukuhang budget ng Department of Education (P435.9 bilyon), Department of Public Works and Highways (P394.5 bilyon), Department of National Defense (P172.7 bilyon) Department of Interior and Local Government (P154.5 bilyon) at Department of Health (P128.4 bilyon).
