Iniimbestigahan ng Office of the Ombudsman sina Pangulong Aquino at Budget Sec. Florencio Abad kung may pananagutan ang mga ito kaugnay ng Disbursement Acceleration Program.
Sa pagdinig ng House committee on appropriations, sinabi ni Ombudsman Conchita Carpio Morales na nagsasagawa ng fact-finding committee ang kanyang ahensya.
“Yes, there have been motu proprio investigations and investigations conducted on the complaint of several complainants. The respondents include the President, the DBM Secretary, and others who appreared to have been involved in the conception of DAP,” ani Morales.
Ang ulat ng Filed Investigation Office ay ‘now under evaluation’ na at kung makikita umano na mayroong batayan sa pagsasampa ng kaso ay aaprubahan ang pagsasagawa ng preliminary investigation kung saan pasasagutin ang mga inirereklamo.
“We don’t release the investigation report. We either approve or disapprove it. If we approve it and we recommend the conduct of a preliminary investigation, then so be it. Now, if we don’t agree with the recommendation to initiate a preliminary investigation, this means the case is deemed close and terminated,” dagdag pa ni Morales.
Ayon kay Morales kailangan nila ng sapat na panahon upang matiyak na matibay ang maisasampa nilang reklamo.
Idineklarang unconstitutional ng Korte Suprema ang DAP na ginamit ng pamahalaan upang pasiglahin ang ekonomiya.
